Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM (WIB), the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through its Legal Aid and Consultation Center (PKBH), held an online Socialization of the 2025 Community Service Grant Program via Zoom Meeting. The event aimed to officially launch the program and comprehensively explain the new grant scheme. More than 40 participants, including students, faculty members, and representatives of research centers from the Faculty of Law UGM, attended the session.
This initiative is part of UGM Faculty of Law’s commitment to realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 16 on promoting peace, justice, and strong institutions, and Goal 17 on partnerships to achieve these goals. The 2025 Community Service Grant Program, conducted through PKBH, serves as a platform for collaboration and impactful community engagement
The event was opened by a part-time staff member of PKBH, followed by a keynote presentation from Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems at the Faculty of Law UGM. He was then followed by Dr. Airin Liemanto, S.H., LL.M., Secretary II of PKBH, who elaborated on the mechanisms and technical aspects of the grant program. There are two primary schemes in the 2025 Community Service Grant Program: 1. Legal Outreach Grant, available to undergraduate and graduate students through student organizations, cross-level student collaborations (undergraduate, master’s, doctoral), faculty members, and research centers. 2. Village Regulation Drafting Assistance Grant, available exclusively for faculty members.
The Legal Outreach Grant includes activities such as live radio broadcasts on RRI Yogyakarta for undergraduate and graduate students and live TV talk shows on TVRI Yogyakarta for cross-level student teams, faculty members, and research centers. Meanwhile, the Village Regulation Drafting Assistance Grant will be carried out in collaboration with the High Prosecutor’s Office of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), assisting several villages across DIY in drafting village regulations on various legal topics.
This socialization and the launch of the 2025 Community Service Grant Program represent a concrete step by the Faculty of Law UGM through PKBH in strengthening its collaboration with RRI Yogyakarta, TVRI Yogyakarta, and the High Prosecutor’s Office of DIY. The program embodies the faculty’s ongoing efforts to deliver excellent, impactful, and meaningful community service.
