Silent Knight Karate Cup is an annual international karate competition held by the Malaysian karate federation. This competition has been a prestigious event for karate athletes to compete with each other that was attended by several countries, especially from the South East Asian countries.
Silent Knight Karate Cup 2024 was held on 8-10 March 2024 in Titiwangsa Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This year competition was the championship that attended by several karate athletes from various ages, from the junior to the senior levels. Due to this, Silent Knight Karate Cup 2024 became a good competition to measure the ability of an athlete and prepare the athlete to face multievent or other world karate competitions.
On Silent Knighht Karate Cup 2024, Chikita Handriana, one of the students from Universitas Gadjah Mada successfully achieved the bronze medal or saved the 3rd position in the senior women's team kumite category. The result was not easy for Chikita or the Universitas Gadjah Mada team due to the difference in height and a better coaching program.
The shortcomings did not make Chikita or UGM Karate Team felt inferior and losing motivation, become a spur to compete to the maximum. As the saying goes, the process will not betray the results, Chikita managed to give the UGM Team a bronze medal. The results achieved by Chikita did not just come, these results are proof of the training process. Chikita started the initial training program for the 2024 Silent Knight Karate Cup championship with the UGM karate team. After going through the training and competition process, an evaluation will be carried out by the UGM karate UKM coaches with the aim of getting better results in the next championship.
