On Monday (September 30, 2024), legal counseling was held by students of the Master of Notary Program, Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), through the 2024 UGM Community Service Grant program. The discussion focused on contract formation at Griya Kulon Jogja in Sumbersari Village.
The counseling team consisted of Rifandika Naufal Afif, Afifah, Aulia Dwi Ramadhanti, Albertus Aditya Budi Setiawan, and Dita Elvia Kusuma Putri. The event was attended by the Head of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), the Head of Sumbersari Village, and the Management of the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari BUMDes.
The community service program began with remarks from the Head of the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari BUMDes and the Head of Sumbersari Village. This was followed by a presentation by Albertus Aditya Budi Setiawan, a student in the Master of Notary Program at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM). This was followed by a training session on contract drafting, which included a discussion and a question-and-answer session.
The legal counseling session was followed by contract drafting training. This activity focused on a limited number of managers of the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari BUMDes. It is hoped that this training will enhance the understanding and skills of legally valid contract drafting, thereby supporting the activities of the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari BUMDes.
One of the administrators of the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), H. Ridwan, stated, "The community service program organized by the Master of Notary students at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM). It was very beneficial for us as BUMDes administrators in drafting future agreements and supporting the future business activities of the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari BUMDes. Thank you. Hopefully, the UGM PKBH will continue to organize this student grant program in the future, as we find it very beneficial."
This community service initiative was motivated by a lack of understanding among BUMDes administrators and the absence of agreements regarding the implementation of the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari BUMDes business activities. This situation resulted in a lack of legal protection for the BUMDes and hampered the economic development of BUMDes business activities. Therefore, the Master of Notary students at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University, took the initiative to conduct community service activities at the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari BUMDes.
This community service activity by the notary master's students of the Faculty of Law, UGM, also aims to realize the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari Village-Owned Enterprise in line with the 16th (sixteenth) indicator of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely strong institutions. The aim of the 16th (sixteenth) SDGs indicator is to strengthen an inclusive and peaceful society for sustainable development, provide justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutional access at all levels, in this case the Amanah Berdikari Sumbersari Village-Owned Enterprise.
