Students from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), once again achieved success on the international stage. The FH UGM delegation, comprising Amelia Sonang, Rizki Karim, Mutiara Khairunnisa, Rahma Reyhan, Indira Jauhara, Rosa Maheswari, and Abigail Soemarko, brought home the awards for 2nd Best Respondent Memorial, 7th Place in Oral Rounds, and Overall Highest Ranked Team at the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) International Arbitration Moot, held at the Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina.
The competition is an international moot court focused on disputes arising from foreign investment. With 57 universities from 31 countries participating, the competition consisted of two stages: preparation of written memorials and simulated arbitration hearings. The delegates represented the parties as counsel in an investment dispute submitted to an international arbitral tribunal.
