On Friday, 23 January 2026, the Law Career Development Center (LCDC) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, successfully held the Graduation Preparation Program for Undergraduate Prospective Graduates, Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This activity is a regular LCDC agenda conducted prior to each UGM graduation period as a manifestation of its commitment to preparing prospective graduates for entry into the professional world. The program aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of recruitment processes, career opportunities and challenges for law graduates, as well as effective strategies for navigating job selection stages.
In this period, the program carried the theme “From FH UGM to Your Dream Job #15: Career Opportunities for Law Graduates in the Banking Sector”, featuring an experienced speaker, Mr. Khusnudon, Head of Corporate Legal and Litigation at PT Maybank Indonesia Tbk. Moderated by Dr. Irine Handika, S.H., LL.M., the event was conducted in an orderly and interactive manner. During his presentation, Mr. Khusnudon elaborated in depth on the roles and responsibilities of law graduates in the banking sector, including an overview of work processes, professional scope, and the qualifications required to pursue a career in this field. The systematic and practical presentation provided valuable new insights for the participants.
The event also demonstrated the Faculty of Law UGM’s contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By strengthening graduate capacity and career readiness, the activity supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the provision of relevant transitional learning between academia and the professional world. In addition, the career briefing contributed to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by encouraging the development of competent, ethical, and professional human resources capable of contributing to the formal economic sector, particularly the banking industry, which plays a vital role in national development.
