Halalbihalal 2025 by Department of Civil Law: Strengthening the Synergy and Collaboration Between the Lecturers

Thursday, April 17 2025, Department of Civil Law Faculty of Law UGM held a Halalbihalal, and marked the moment of togetherness without any formality that conducted in a full of warmth and meaning. In this event, all the lecturers from Department of Civil Law were present including the Acting Dean II of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, SH., M.A., LL.M. gathered for a moment from the hustle and bustle of work routines. This moment also gave an opportunity to celebrate the value of togetherness, not only as a workmate, but also as a supportive big family.

This event was not merely just a group dinner, but a meaningful dinner to strengthen the bond between lecturers. With the concept of group diner, each lecturers brought their own dishes, started from the main course, light dishes, until the beverages were served with joy. Each dishes that were brought was not only a food on the plate, but also a form of happiness and memories in the midst of the hustle and bustle of academic world. Each dishes symbolized a bond between lecturers, both as a workmate and as a big family.

This event that was organized by the Department of Civil Law, Faculty of Law UGM was not only to strengthen the bond between lecturers, but also reflected the values of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially on the 16th goal (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and the 17th goal (Partnership for the Goals). This togetherness was a concrete example on how the good relations and collaboration can create a harmonious, inclusive, and supportive environment–an important foundation to implement a justice and peace in the the scope of academic or the general public.

The spirit of sharing and mutual cooperation was shown through the dishes that was brought were strengthen the principle ofpartnership. Regarding this, each individual were contributing to create a joy in togetherness. Therefore, this event was not merely a tradition, but also a small steps to contribute in a global effort to build a community that is more fair, unity, and sustainable.
