FPPH Palapa Achieves Success at ILF VIII 2024

A delegation from the PALAPA Legal Research and Writing Forum (FPPH) of the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University won first place in the 8th Islamic Law Fair 2024 Prof. Abdullah Kelib, S.H. Cup in the Scientific Writing Competition (KKTI) category. The delegation, known as Team Al-Kindi, consisted of Andi Sitti Ainy Nur Alifah (2022), Lusia Rina Wulandari (2022), and Fidelia Amy Murdani (2022). Additionally, the delegation was accompanied by Azzahra Audria R (2022) as the Official Team Member. Throughout the competition, the Al-Kindi Team received guidance from Dr. Mailinda Eka Yuniza, S.H., LL.M., as their faculty advisor.

The Scientific Writing Competition (KKTI) is one of the competition categories in the Islamic Law Fair VIII 2024 series. The ILF itself is held every two years by the Faculty Student Activity Unit (UKM-F) of the Islamic Law Study Group at the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University. This event is intended for all undergraduate (S-1) students in the Faculty of Law or the Faculty of Sharia and Law at all public and private universities in Indonesia.

ILF VIII 2024 addresses the overarching theme “The Progressiveness of the National Legal System Rooted in the Values of Pancasila in Anticipation of Indonesia Emas 2045.” This theme stems from the premise that the national legal system envisioned by the founding fathers in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD NRI 1945) is a dynamic system designed to foster the welfare of the Indonesian people. There are three competition categories in this event: the Scientific Writing Competition (KKTI), the Legal Opinion Competition (LO), and the Law Drafting Competition (KPUU).

The Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) category, in which the UGM Faculty of Law delegation participated, consisted of two rounds: a preliminary round conducted online and a final round held in person. This category was participated in by 24 teams from various universities across Indonesia. Out of the 24 teams, the 5 teams with the highest scores were selected to advance to the final round, which was organized by the Islamic Law Study Group (KSHI) of the Faculty of Law at Diponegoro University.

All members of the UGM Faculty of Law delegation are deeply grateful and express their thanks for all the support and prayers received, which enabled them to achieve the best possible results for their beloved alma mater. May this success serve as motivation for UGM students to become even more enthusiastic about achieving excellence, both in legal and non-legal fields.
