The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) once again achieved a proud accomplishment at the UGM Outstanding Individuals Awards Night on Tuesday (December 9, 2025). At this annual awards ceremony, FH UGM won two PDDikti Awards 2025 at once. The Bachelor of Law program was named the recipient of the 2025 PDDikti Award in the Outstanding Faculty/Study Program/Work Unit category for undergraduate programs, while the Master of Law (MIH) program at the Jakarta campus received the 2025 PDDikti Award in the Master’s Program category. These two awards serve as institutional recognition of the UGM Faculty of Law’s consistent commitment to delivering excellent, transparent academic governance focused on improving the quality of educational services.
These achievements reflect the success of the UGM Faculty of Law in implementing continuous transformation in the areas of curriculum, academic information systems, the quality of learning, and capacity building for faculty and educational staff.
The achievements of these two study programs make a strategic contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Strengthening the quality of education, academic governance, and an inclusive learning ecosystem supports the realization of SDG 4: Quality Education, particularly in terms of access to higher education, enhancing students’ competencies, and developing an education system that is responsive to global changes. At the same time, the UGM Faculty of Law is also strengthening its contribution to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by providing legal education that produces graduates of integrity, with a commitment to social justice, and the capacity to build legal institutions that are more transparent, accountable, and just.
This award also serves as an incentive for the UGM Faculty of Law to continue strengthening academic innovation and long-term institutional development. With this achievement, the UGM Faculty of Law reaffirms its role as one of Indonesia’s leading law schools, one that not only focuses on academic excellence but also makes tangible contributions to the national and global sustainable development agenda.
