The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) once again held the Graduation Ceremony for Graduate Program Students for the First Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Wednesday (October 22, 2025). The event was presided over by Prof. Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, who in his remarks emphasized the importance of law graduates’ role in addressing increasingly complex social and global challenges. This event served as a reflective and symbolic moment for the graduates as they concluded their academic journey and embarked on a new chapter as legal professionals of integrity.
As part of the ceremony, Prof. Adrianto presented transcripts to graduates who earned honors. Subsequently, the heads of the graduate programs presented transcripts to the remaining graduates, including Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M.(HR)., Ph.D. (Head of the Master’s Program in Legal Studies), Anggita Mustika Dewi, S.H., M.Kn. (Head of the Master’s Program in Notarial Law), Irna Nurhayati, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M., Ph.D. (Program Secretary for the Master’s Program in Business and Public Law), Dr. Ninik Darmini, S.H., M.Hum. (Head of the Master’s Program in Law, Jakarta), and Dr. Supriyadi, S.H., M.Hum. (Head of the Master’s Program in Litigation Law). This ceremony serves as a token of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the students during their studies at the UGM Faculty of Law.
A total of 170 graduates were officially conferred their degrees during this ceremony. Of that number, 49 graduates earned honors, while the rest received a “highly satisfactory” rating. These achievements not only reflect academic success but also demonstrate the quality of legal education at the UGM Faculty of Law, which remains committed to maintaining standards of excellence across all levels of its programs.
The highest achievement this time was attained by Skolastika Probo Citaningrum from the Master of Law Program, with a perfect GPA of 4.00. Skolastika was also selected as the student representative to deliver the commencement address. In her speech, she expressed gratitude for her challenging academic journey while urging her peers to continue upholding the values of justice, ethics, and social responsibility in their professional lives.
This graduation ceremony also serves as a manifestation of the UGM Faculty of Law’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education. By providing a legal education that is excellent, inclusive, and relevant to the times, the UGM Faculty of Law plays an active role in producing human resources who are not only intellectually capable but also committed to sustainability and social justice. Quality education is key to fostering future leaders of integrity.
In addition, this event is closely linked to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Law graduates are expected to become agents of change in creating a legal system that is fair, transparent, and community-oriented. Armed with the academic knowledge and humanistic values gained during their studies at the UGM Faculty of Law, the graduates are expected to strengthen legal institutions and uphold justice across various sectors of life.
Through this event, the UGM Faculty of Law reaffirms its role as a higher education institution committed to sustainability, justice, and the well-being of society. The Faculty continues to integrate the values of the SDGs into every aspect of the three pillars of higher education—education, research, and community service. This cohort of graduates is expected to carry this spirit with them in every step they take, making tangible contributions toward realizing a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.
