The UGM Faculty of Law, through its Legal Aid Consultation Center (PKBH), held a meeting to explore collaboration with the Purbalingga Regency Agency for Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development (Bappelitbangda) on Thursday (September 21, 2023). This activity is a follow-up to the collaboration previously carried out with Desamind Indonesia, a nonprofit organization focused on fostering “local heroes” for village development. This aligns with SDG Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The exploratory meeting with Bappelitbangda was attended by Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL. M., M.A., Associate Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems at the UGM Faculty of Law; Drs. Suroto, M.Si., Head of Bappelitbangda of Purbalingga Regency; and Dr. Dra. Dani Krisnawati, S.H., M.Hum., Chair of the PKBH at the UGM Faculty of Law. In exploring this collaboration, the Purbalingga Regency Bappelitbangda and the UGM Faculty of Law share a common vision to immediately continue synergistic efforts in identifying issues and formulating strategies through sustainable collaboration.
One concrete manifestation of this strategy is the implementation of a legal outreach program in collaboration with Desamind Indonesia in Cipaku Village, Purbalingga Regency, on Friday (September 22, 2023). This legal outreach program in Cipaku Village will serve as a key component in identifying issues and advancing the synergy between the UGM Faculty of Law and Bappelitbangda of Purbalingga Regency.
