As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and resource efficiency, the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) has installed a series of energy, electricity, and water conservation posters at strategic locations throughout the faculty. The initiative aims to raise awareness among the academic community about the importance of conserving resources in everyday activities. Using clear and visually engaging messages, the posters remind campus members to switch off lights and electronic devices when not in use, turn off taps after use, and optimize their use of energy and water.
This effort aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), by promoting efficient use of water and energy in support of the transition to a more sustainable energy future; SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), by educating the campus community on more responsible use of natural resources; and SDG 13 (Climate Action), by reducing carbon footprints through energy and water conservation as part of climate change mitigation.
Through this simple but meaningful initiative, FH UGM hopes to cultivate a culture of conservation and environmental responsibility among its academic community and to reinforce the faculty's commitment to building a green and sustainable campus that supports human well-being and the preservation of nature for generations to come.
