The annual working meeting of the Cooperative Body of Law Faculty Deans from State Universities Across Indonesia (BKS Dekan FH PTN Se-Indonesia) returned this year with the UGM Faculty of Law as its host. The series of events ran from Monday to Wednesday, July 1–3, 2024, and included both a national seminar and a working session.
The national seminar carried the theme "Charting the Future of Legal Higher Education in Indonesia" and featured keynote speakers Prof. Dr. Ir. Djoko Santoso, M.Sc. from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Prof. Dr. Sulistiowati, S.H., M.Hum, Chair of the UGM University Senate. The session was moderated by Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A.
Following the seminar, participants divided into two panels. The first panel was the BKS National Working Session, attended by law faculty deans from institutions across the country. Key agenda items included the election of a new BKS National Chairperson and discussions on international accreditation for law faculties. The second panel was the Doctoral Program Managers' Working Session, attended by doctoral program chairs, secretaries, and selected representatives from state universities throughout Indonesia.
