The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University, through the Center for Natural Resources Governance Studies (NRGS), in collaboration with PT Pertamina (Persero) through Pertamina Corporate University, has resumed the implementation of the Pertamina 2025 Mini Master of Law Program, entering the third week of learning. The event was held on Saturday and Sunday, June 14–15, 2025, at the UGM Jakarta Law School Campus, and is an integral part of a strategic training program aimed at strengthening legal understanding among managerial and leadership staff within the Pertamina Holding Group.
During the third week, participants from PT Pertamina (Persero) and its subsidiaries actively participated in all sessions with high enthusiasm. This enthusiasm was evident in the interactive discussions that took place during the sessions, reflecting the participants' commitment to deepening their understanding of critical legal aspects that support strategic decision-making in the energy sector. This program is specifically designed for participants with non-legal backgrounds, aiming to equip them with practical and relevant legal knowledge to address the challenges and dynamics of the increasingly complex business and energy industry landscape.
The third week of learning is divided into two classes, comprising eight lecture sessions. The first four sessions will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM WIB, followed by four sessions on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM WIB. On Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB, a post-test will also be conducted as part of the evaluation to assess participants' understanding of the material covered during the learning sessions.

The topics covered in this session include important subjects such as Comparative Competition Law, Transnational Business Law, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, as well as Bankruptcy Law and Debt Payment Moratorium. All materials were presented by leading experts in their fields, including Royhan Akbar, S.H., LL.M. (Business Law Lecturer, Faculty of Law, UGM), Irna Nurhayati, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M., Ph.D. (Business Law Lecturer, Faculty of Law, UGM), Prof. Dr. Drs. Paripurna, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M. (Professor of Business Law, Faculty of Law, UGM), and Nien Rafles Siregar, S.H., M.H. (Managing Partner, Siregar Setiawan Manalu Partnership).
As part of the learning evaluation, the administration of Post-Test 1 at the end of the Sunday session from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB serves as a crucial element in measuring participants' understanding of the material presented over the two days. Beyond its evaluative function, this post-test also helps participants critically and structurally reflect on their understanding while reinforcing their absorption of the learning material provided. Thus, participants are expected to internalize the knowledge gained and apply it appropriately in their respective professional contexts.
The third week of the program further strengthens the commitment of the Faculty of Law, UGM, and PT Pertamina (Persero) to supporting global agendas, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This program directly contributes to SDG 4 on quality education through enhancing legal literacy among non-legal professionals; SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth through improving decision-making capacity in the legal sector within the business sector; SDG 16, which emphasizes peace, justice, and strong institutions through fair and effective dispute resolution practices; and SDG 17 on strengthening partnerships to achieve goals, reflected in the close collaboration between academics, practitioners, and the energy industry.

Through the implementation of the Pertamina 2025 Mini Master of Law Program, Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada and PT Pertamina (Persero) continue to strive to strengthen the synergy between academia and industry in order to produce corporate leaders who are not only technically competent but also have a strong understanding of the law, so that they are able to realize professional, accountable, and integrity-based corporate governance.
