Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada strengthens cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Philippines

 UGM continues to strengthen its identity as a World-Class University (WCU). This is evidenced by the visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Manila on Thursday (24/10/2024). 

The delegation from the Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax, Ph.D. along with several other members of the delegation, including the Vice Dean for Academic, Student, and Cooperation Affairs, Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D., and Head of the Undergraduate Program, Dr. Wahyu Yun Santoso, M.Hum., LL.M., Head of the Doctor in Law Study Program, Prof. M. Hawin, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D, and Secretary of Quality Assurance Unit, Umar Mubdi, S.H., M.A..

According to the Dean of Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada, the purpose of this visit is to enhance cooperation in providing direction and support in order to attract prospective students of study programmes within the Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN). This cooperation has been initiated since Thursday (24/10/2024).

During the visit, there were also promotional activities for study programmes at the Faculty of Law of Universitas Gadjah Mada for potential students from the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of the Philippines, H.E. Agus Widjojo welcomed the cooperation between the Faculty of Law of Universitas Gadjah Mada and the Indonesian Embassy in the Philippines 

He hopes that the support activities from the Indonesian Embassy in the Philippines can initiate cooperation in the field of education and can internationalise study programs, especially after being internationally accredited by FIBAA, by introducing potential study programs that can attract prospective students from the Philippines to study at the Faculty of Law UGM. Hopefully, in the future the Faculty of Law UGM can develop, be increasingly recognised, and be competitive in the international scope.
