On Thursday, January 4, 2024, the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) received a study visit from students of SMA N 9 Bekasi. The visit was designed to showcase the Faculty of Law and give prospective students a window into the academic environment and the opportunities available to those who choose to pursue a legal education. The event was structured to encourage students to consider higher education — in keeping with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Quality Education.

The program opened with a warm welcome from faculty members, who expressed genuine enthusiasm for hosting the students. The two main speakers were Dr. R.A. Antari Innaka Turingsih, S.H., M.Hum., and Umar Mubdi, S.H., M.A., who shared valuable information about the curriculum, the faculty's areas of expertise, and the range of programs available at the Faculty of Law. Their presentations emphasized the importance of legal education in shaping the leaders and professionals of tomorrow.

Throughout the session, students were invited to ask questions about the Faculty of Law, the admissions process, and career prospects for law graduates. The interactive nature of the visit allowed students to engage directly with the speakers, deepening their understanding of what it truly means to study law at UGM. Zam Basir Angga Wibisono, S.I.Kom., served as the event's facilitator, ensuring the discussion flowed smoothly and that all questions were addressed.

The visit also highlighted the role of education in advancing the SDGs, particularly Goal 4, which calls for inclusive, equitable, and quality education and promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all. By giving students firsthand insight into higher education, UGM played an important part in inspiring the next generation of legal professionals.

The collaboration between SMA N 9 Bekasi and UGM reflects the value of partnership in education. Initiatives like this help bridge the gap between secondary and tertiary education, ensuring students are well-informed about their options. The visit stands as a testament to UGM's commitment to promoting education and supporting student enrollment in law programs.

In conclusion, the study visit from SMA N 9 Bekasi to the UGM Faculty of Law was a significant step toward promoting quality education and encouraging student enrollment.
