UGM’s Faculty of Law Promotes Work Productivity Through Human Resource Capacity Building

The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) held a human resource capacity-building event on July 17–19, 2025, in Tawangmangu, Karanganyar. The event was attended by faculty members and educational staff as part of efforts to improve the productivity and performance quality of the academic community.

The program agenda was designed holistically, integrating academic and team-building aspects. One of the main sessions was a seminar featuring Nanang Hanif Basyaruddin as the keynote speaker, focusing on human resource development strategies and their implications for enhancing the effectiveness of higher education institutions.

In addition to academic sessions, the series of activities also included recreational activities aimed at strengthening synergy and solidarity among staff. This approach is expected to create a more harmonious and productive work environment, while also reinforcing collective spirit in supporting institutional performance.

The implementation of this event reflects the Faculty of Law, UGM’s commitment to the sustainable development agenda, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 16 (Strong and Inclusive Institutions). Furthermore, by promoting a balance between work and mental and physical well-being, this initiative also supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), providing opportunities for recovery and improved quality of life for the academic community.

Going forward, similar activities are planned to be held on a regular basis as part of a strategy to strengthen institutional capacity and improve legal education services at both the national and global levels.
