Dean of the UGM Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., recently opened the 77th Dies Natalis celebration series for the UGM Faculty of Law on Tuesday, February 7, held at the Auditorium of Building B, UGM Faculty of Law.
In her remarks, Dahliana Hasan expressed her hopes for the UGM Faculty of Law. "Today marks the opening of the 77th Dies Natalis of the UGM Faculty of Law - meaning the faculty has weathered 77 years through both joys and hardships, and the dynamics that have come with them. Hopefully, the faculty's reputation will continue to grow, serving as a benchmark for law and legal scholarship - not only at the national level, but at the international level as well." This was Dahliana Hasan's reflection.
The opening ceremony was followed by a religious lecture (pengajian) and communal prayer themed "Caring for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia Through the Lens of Religion and Culture." The lecture was delivered by Ustadz Dr. Fahruddin Faiz, S.Ag., M.Ag. In his lecture, Ustadz Fahruddin Faiz stated that before one can care for something, one must first love it. The same holds true for Indonesia: before the public can defend and care for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, they must first love their country.
The opening of the 77th Dies Natalis celebration series concluded with a communal prayer led by Ustadz Fahruddin Faiz.
