To Promote the Legal Status of MSMEs, Students from the UGM Faculty of Law’s MHK Coordinate with the Bantul Regency DPMPTSP

Master’s students in Constitutional Law at the UGM Faculty of Law—including Ade Yulfianto (2022), Ahmad Yani (2022), Beckham Podung (2022), Fayasi Failaq (2022), and Mario Agritama (2022), coordinated with the Bantul Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) on Sunday (September 5, 2023). This coordination was conducted in preparation for a legal outreach program scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in Panggungharjo Village, Bantul Regency.

“The legal outreach team needs to collaborate with the Bantul Regency DPMPTSP as the primary stakeholder to promote the legalization of business permits for MSME entrepreneurs in Bantul Regency,” stated Ade Yulfianto, a member of the legal outreach team.

This was emphasized by Mario Agritama, Chair of the Legal Outreach Team, who noted that following a field assessment, it turned out that a significant number of MSME operators still do not have a Business Identification Number (NIB). Some MSME operators even have an NIB but have forgotten their NIB password. Therefore, the UGM Faculty of Law legal outreach team wishes to collaborate with the relevant government agency to address this issue. This aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

The efforts of the UGM Faculty of Law outreach team have been warmly received by the Bantul Regency DPMPTSP and have garnered a positive response and support for organizing legal outreach sessions as well as providing assistance with NIB registration. This activity is planned to be held in Panggungharjo Village, targeting MSME practitioners in that area.
