The Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) commemorated its 76th Anniversary (Dies Natalis) through a series of commemorative events held from February 2 to 18, 2022. Carrying the theme "Strengthening the Character of Law Enforcement Officers and Bureaucrats within Indonesia’s Legal System," the celebration featured a religious gathering and joint prayer, followed by an internal focus group discussion, the Alumni Menyapa session, and flower-laying ceremonies at the graves of former faculty members. The festivities also included a fish seed release event and concluded with a fellowship gathering.
A centerpiece of the anniversary was the Open Senate Meeting and the Dean’s Annual Report, conducted in a hybrid format on February 17, 2022, from the Auditorium of Building B and via Zoom. The assembly featured an academic keynote by Prof. Dr. Prajoko, S.Soc.Sc., titled "Strengthening the Character of Law Enforcement Officers and Bureaucrats through Innovation Policy in Indonesia."
Following the Senate Meeting, FH UGM held a formal signing ceremony for several Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreements in Room III.1. The proceedings were led by Dean Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., alongside representatives from numerous institutional partners. During the session, FH UGM solidified 13 strategic partnerships with various entities, including the Expert Body of the Indonesian House of Representatives (Badan Keahlian DPR RI), the National Single Window Agency, and the regional governments of Sleman and Paser. Agreements were also established with the District Courts of Sleman, Wates, Yogyakarta, Wonosari, and Bantul, as well as the DIY Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Academic collaborations were further extended to the Law Faculties of Universitas 17 Agustus Semarang, Universitas Islam Malang, and Leiden University.
The ceremony commenced with an address from Dean Dahliana Hasan, followed by remarks from the participating delegations. The domestic partner representatives were led by H. Harda Kiswaya, S.E., M.Si. (Regional Secretary of Sleman), while international partners were represented by Marrik Bellen, Director of the Leiden University Office in Indonesia. Upon the formal conclusion of the signing process, the gathering transitioned into a group photo session and a period of institutional networking among the attendees.
