The Department of Islamic Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, held a workshop to evaluate course materials on Thursday (August 8, 2025) at the Grand Tjokro Hotel in Yogyakarta. This workshop was held to prepare for the first lecture of the 2025/2026 academic year. The evaluation and updating of the course materials were conducted by incorporating feedback provided by representatives from the DIY MUI, the DIY Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and notary/PPAT practitioners during a session held the previous day.
The purpose of the workshop was to evaluate and update the structure of course materials taught by the Department of Islamic Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM. Additionally, the workshop aimed to ensure the relevance of the course content to current developments in society. These adjustments were made by incorporating changes in regulations, court rulings in the field of Islamic law, and various issues arising in society.
The workshop was attended by all faculty members of the Department of Islamic Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, namely Prof. Dr. Hartini, S.H., M.Si., Dr. Muhaimin, S.H., M.Kn., Dr. Yulkarnain Harahab, S.H., M.Si., Dr. Destri Budi Nugraheni, S.H., M.S.I., Dr. Khotibul Umam, S.H., LL.M., and Haniah Ilhami, S.H., LL.M. During this workshop, all faculty members of the Department of Islamic Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, provided identification, evaluation, and feedback on the course materials. It is hoped that through this workshop, the courses taught by the Department of Islamic Law at the Faculty of Law, UGM, can adapt to developments in society. Additionally, this activity is expected to produce high-quality learning materials. The workshop also served as a platform to align perspectives between academics and relevant stakeholders, such as representatives from the DIY MUI, notary/PPAT practitioners, and representatives from the DIY Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
