The UGM Faculty of Law Delegation Wins Third Place in the National Legal Opinion Competition at UNS, Encouraging Inclusive and Quality Legal Education

The Faculty of Law delegation from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) won third place in the 2025 National Business Legal Talk Legal Opinion Competition held at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) on Sunday (February 23, 2025). This competition brought together law students from various universities to critically analyze contemporary business law issues and provide solutions.

UGM was represented by two students from the Business Law Community (BLC): Maylani Sri Maharani (2022) as team leader and Nadra Rahelya Butar Butar (2022) as team member. Both demonstrated a deep understanding of business law issues and strong argumentation skills throughout the preliminary and final rounds.

This participation and success demonstrates UGM's commitment to producing graduates ready to compete at the national level and emphasizes the importance of academic competitions as a means of contextual learning.

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this achievement supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by improving the quality of higher education and developing students' real-world skills. Furthermore, this event contributes to SDG 16 (Resilient Institutions) by instilling the values of justice, law, and integrity in aspiring legal professionals from an early age.

Participating in competitions like this not only enriches the learning experience but also strengthens academic and professional networks, which are crucial for students' future careers. The UGM delegation hopes this achievement will inspire fellow students to continue achieving and contributing to legal development in Indonesia.
