The UGM Faculty of Law has once again made its mark at the national level, with Team Singasari, representing the Business Law Community (BLC) FH UGM winning third place at the Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition at Diponegoro Law Fair 2024. The competition was held at the Universitas Diponegoro Faculty of Law from October 25–27, 2024, and organized by the Faculty Research and Debate Student Activity Unit.
Team Singasari comprised Fadeyyin Fuqoha Akbar (2021) as team leader, Najla Nazhira Chairani (2021), Nurmalasari Drajati (2021), Amalia Sayyidatur Rohmah (2021), Zaviera Rida Faisa (2021), and Muhammad Nazal Sultan Tontowi (2022) as members, with Aditya Kurniawan Wardana (2021) as team manager. The team was supervised by Herliana, S.H., M.ComLaw., Ph.D.
Diponegoro Law Fair 2024 carried the theme "Renewal of Social Institutions Through Legal Transformation in Support of National Development," and featured several competition categories including National Law Debate, Internal Debate, Contract Drafting and Negotiation, and Legal Essay competitions open to delegations from universities across Indonesia.
As UGM's representative in the Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition, Team Singasari navigated two stages: a document assessment round and a final. The team advanced to the final after placing third in the document assessment. In the final, the team delivered a simulated negotiation followed by a Q&A and verbal adjudication with the judges. After two months of preparation covering research, document drafting, and coaching from both academic and practitioner mentors Team Singasari brought honor to UGM with their third-place finish.
