A delegation from FH UGM, guided by the Satria Paramartha Moot Court Community, once again achieved success at the NMCC Piala Tjokorda Raka Dherana VII competition. FH UGM won 1st Place, as well as the titles of Best Judge Panel, Best Substitute Clerk, Best Public Prosecutor, Best Legal Counsel, Best Defendant, and Best Witness and Expert.
NMCC Piala Tjokorda Raka Dherana VII was organized by Universitas Udayana and held in two stages. The first stage was a Preliminary Round involving 16 universities from across Indonesia. The second stage was the Final Round, contested by the four delegations that advanced from the preliminary round: Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Kristen Indonesia, and Universitas Warmadewa. The competition was conducted through document submissions and simulated trial videos, carried out on September 3–4, 2022. The entire event — including the trial simulations, judging, results announcement, and closing — was held online via Zoom Cloud Meetings.
The case scenario for NMCC Piala Tjokorda Raka Dherana VII involved a narcotics case, where the substance involved was not yet regulated under Indonesian law, as well as a terrorism case involving bioterrorism. This case scenario added an extra layer of challenge for delegation members, testing their critical thinking and sharpening their criminal law skills.
FH UGM's delegation for NMCC Piala Tjokorda Raka Dherana VII consisted of 16 members: Muhammad Akbar, Patricia Dean Maycita Pinasti, Tjokorda Istri Diah Candra Permatasari, Arif Akbar Kurnia, Ijan Tornado Saragih, Nico Anggi Imanuel S., Widya Nurmeita, Marsa Kamila, Salsabilla Dinda L., Hasnabillaishya Chernova J., Haikal Abdurrahman A., Fidela Novanda Pieris, Tiffany Pryanka Andini, Andriany Cindy Sitio, Muhammad Sakti Maula, and Ida Ayu Kadek P., along with 2 team official, , Diantara Difa Alfa Sabdani and Brendan Elia. The delegation was guided by supervising lecturer Muhammad Fatahillah Akbar, S.H., LL.M.
All delegation members expressed deep gratitude, noting that the prayers and hard work of the team paid off with the best possible result for their alma mater, UGM. Despite competing entirely online, the delegation was still able to achieve this result thanks to support from various parties who helped along the way.
