Delegates from Faculty of Law UGM had successfully achieved the 1st Place in Sultan Jawara Law Festival 2024 for the category of Legislative Drafting that was conducted on (2/10/2024). The delegates under the name of Eddy Martadinata Team was consisted of Andi Sitti Ainy Nur Alifah (2022), Nindy Rahmadani (2022), Lusia Rina Wulandari (2022), Reiyan Auliansyah Pratama (2022), and Nasywa Ananditha Bilal (2022). The team was also accompanied by Afita Safanisa (2022) as their Team’s Official. During the competition, Al-Kindi Team was also supervised by Dr. Yance Arizona, S.H., M.H., M.A. as the supervisor lecturer.
Legislative Drafting Competition is a competition that aimed to enhance the skill of the participants in drafting an Academic Paper regarding strengthening the DPD. The target of this competition itself are the law students from universities in Indonesia. In this competition, the participants are acting as the Legislator that have the task to draft the Academic Paper and the Bill in a group.
During the drafting phase, the students should understand the principles and the theories in Bill Drafting, Positive Law, and the legal practice that is useful in drafting the Bill. The competition that was attended by FH UGM’s delegates were consisted of 2 rounds, which were the preliminary round that conducted virtually and the final round that was conducted in-person. This category was attended by several universities all over Indonesia, and later 5 of them was selected to proceed to the final round in Faculty of Law Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.
The entire team of FH UGM Delegations would like to express their gratitude towards the supports that have been so they could bring the pride to the alma mater. The delegation team hoped that this success will motivate the students from Faculty of Law UGM to bring more spirit in bringing more achievement in both law and non-law fields.
