On November 28, 2021, Team Dewi Sannaha, representing FH UGM's Constitutional Law Society (CLS), was named 1st Place winner and Best Draft Document in the Constitutional Drafting competition category, organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Padjajaran. The team consisted of Nabila Alyssa Kurnia as team lead; Gabriela Miracle Boru Hasian, Natalische Ramanda Ricko Aldebarant, Nivia, and Arif Putra Pratama as members; Muhammad Hamzah Al Faruq as team official; and Faiz Rahman, S.H., LL.M. as supervising lecturer. Padjajaran Law Fair featured several competition categories: a high school debate, a university-level debate, an undergraduate workshop, and Constitutional Drafting. A total of 14 universities and 7 high schools took part overall, with 4 universities specifically competing in the Constitutional Drafting category. The competition ran from September 25 through November 27, 2021.
Padjajaran Law Fair 2021 was built around the theme "Constitution and Emergency." Nabila and her team completed an Academic Paper and a Draft Constitutional Amendment within 30 days. In preparing the academic paper, the team conducted in-depth research across various legal sources and literature, and carried out interviews with academics — including Faiz Rahman, S.H., LL.M.; Prof. Dr. Ni'matul Huda, S.H.; Dr. I Dewa Gede Palguna, S.H., M.Hum.; and Andy Omara, S.H., M.Pub & Int.Law, Ph.D.
The competition consisted of two stages: a preliminary round based on document/submission selection, and a final round involving presentations. Document preparation for the preliminary round ran from September 25 to October 25. On November 11, Nabila's team was confirmed to have advanced past the preliminary round and qualified for the final round on November 27, 2021. The Padjajaran Law Fair's closing appreciation event took place on November 28, 2021, where the UGM delegation was named 1st Place winner and Best Draft Document in the Constitutional Drafting category.
This achievement is hoped to motivate UGM students to keep striving for accomplishments in both legal and non-legal fields — especially FH UGM students, encouraging fresh enthusiasm for competing in future Constitutional Drafting competitions. The full delegation expressed deep gratitude for all the support and prayers that helped them deliver their best result for their beloved alma mater.
