From left to right — Muhammad Hamzah Al Faruq (student), Garuda Era Ruhpinesthi (student), Alfatania Sekar Ismaya (student), and Faiz Rahman, S.H., LL.M. (supervising lecturer) — the FH UGM delegation, competing as Team Dewi Sartika, won 2nd Place along with Best Paper at the Constitutional Law Festival's Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI), held by Universitas Brawijaya, on September 11, 2021.

Team Dewi Sartika, representing FH UGM's Forum for Legal Research and Writing (Palapa), won 2nd Place in this national scientific article competition. Alfatania, Garuda, and Hamzah — representing FPPH Palapa — secured 2nd Place in the Constitutional Law Festival competition, organized by the Legal Studies and Research Forum at Universitas Brawijaya's Faculty of Law. Team Dewi Sartika's paper focused on reformulating how academic papers for draft legislation are prepared, proposing the adoption of a Regulatory Impact Assessment method to create laws that are more transparent and participatory. Also supervised by Faiz Rahman, S.H., LL.M., the team scored highest in the document-judging stage. The competition consisted of two stages — document/submission judging and a final presentation round — running from June through September. Held entirely online, it drew 19 teams from 18 universities.
This achievement is hoped to motivate UGM students to keep striving for accomplishments in both legal and non-legal fields — especially FH UGM students, encouraging fresh enthusiasm for competing in scientific writing competitions held by law faculties across Indonesia. The full delegation expressed deep gratitude for all the support and prayers that helped them deliver their best result for their beloved alma mater.
