A delegation from the Gadjah Mada University Local Chapter of the Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA LC UGM) has once again achieved outstanding success on the national stage. The delegation won third place in the Diponegoro Law Fair (DLF) 2025 Academic Writing Competition (LKTI), organized by the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Law Student Activity Unit—Research and Debate Group (KRD) at Diponegoro University on October 26, 2025.
The ALSA LC UGM delegation consisted of Shafira Rahmatia Putri Hardiyanto, Annisa Dwi Alfianti, Nasywa Intan Ramadhanty, and Hadza Unzila Ilaina as officials.
In the competition, which carried the theme “The Rule of Law as the Foundation for Realizing an Inclusive and Sustainable Economy in the Face of Global Economic Fluctuations,” the ALSA LC UGM delegation chose the subtheme of Financial Technology (FinTech). This theme was considered relevant to the rapidly evolving dynamics of law and the digital economy in Indonesia and around the world.
Throughout the competition, the team went through several selection stages, ranging from the submission of academic papers, evaluation by the panel of judges, to the presentation stage. Thanks to their in-depth analysis, strong arguments, and comprehensive presentation, the ALSA LC UGM delegation successfully secured a spot in the top three among participants from various leading universities in Indonesia.
As a token of appreciation, ALSA LC UGM would like to express its gratitude to all those who have provided support, especially the faculty advisors, the executive board, and colleagues who played a role in preparing for this competition.
This achievement not only demonstrates the academic excellence of UGM Law School students but also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). Through legal research and analysis in the field of Financial Technology, the ALSA LC UGM team contributes to strengthening fair, inclusive, and sustainable digital economic governance, while supporting the development of a legal ecosystem that is adaptive to technological advancements in Indonesia.
