Public Debate for the 2019 Dema Justicia Chairperson Candidates

Dewan Mahasiswa Justicia, commonly known as DEMA Justicia, is a student organization within the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, serving as the student executive and legislative body. As such, DEMA Justicia is expected to serve as a platform for channeling students’ aspirations and providing a space for the Faculty of Law UGM student community. Like any organization, DEMA Justicia requires a leader capable of carrying out its vision and mission and guiding the organization toward further development.

Each year, DEMA Justicia undergoes a cabinet regeneration process, beginning with the election of its chairperson through the Student General Election. The public debate is one of the stages of this election. It provides prospective voters with an opportunity to become better acquainted with the candidates. During the debate, candidates are also challenged to present their perspectives and approaches to addressing issues commonly encountered within the student community. Their proposed strategies and viewpoints are explored and discussed in greater depth throughout the debate.
