Dean of the UGM Faculty of Law, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., has been elected Chairperson of the Cooperative Body of Law Faculty Deans from State Universities Across Indonesia (BKS Dekan FH PTN Se-Indonesia) for the 2024–2026 term. Her election was confirmed by acclamation during the BKS National Working Meeting held at the UGM Faculty of Law on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
In her acceptance remarks, Dahliana Hasan expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her to lead the BKS for the next two years. "My hope is that the BKS Dekan FH PTN Se-Indonesia grows more cohesive and continues to make meaningful contributions to the development of legal education and the resolution of legal challenges across Indonesia."
Dahliana Hasan succeeds the previous chairperson, Imam Prihandono, S.H., M.H., LL.M., Ph.D. from Universitas Airlangga. For the 2024–2026 term, she will be supported by Ferry Faturokhman, S.H., M.H., Ph.D. from Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa as Secretary, and Dr. Erma Rusdiana, S.H., M.H. from Universitas Trunojoyo Madura as Treasurer.
The BKS Dekan FH PTN Se-Indonesia serves as a collaborative forum for law faculties at state universities across Indonesia, working to elevate national standards in legal education. Regular meetings are held to ensure that law curricula remain responsive to evolving societal needs and development. It was also decided at this working meeting that the next gathering will be hosted by Universitas Hasanuddin in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
