On Saturday (16/02/2024), Law Career Development Centre (LCDC) successfully held a Career Development Workshop for the Prospective Graduates of S1 Study Program Period II Academic Year 2023/2024. This workshop is a routine event that carried out by LCDC before the Undergraduate graduation ceremony in UGM. This workshop carried out the theme “From FH UGM to Your Dream Job #7: Career Opportunities of Law Graduates as Notary and Land Deed Making Official”. Followed by the theme, in this workshop, LCDC presented 2 notary and Land Deed Making Official as the speakers, namely Dr. Tabitha Sri Jeany, S.H., M.Kn. and Wahyu Adi MP, S.H., M.Kn.
Moderated by Taufiq Adiyanto, S.H., LL.M., this workshop was successfully completed. Dr. Tabitha Sri Jeany started the presentation by explaining the job opportunity for the law graduates to becoming a notary and a Land Deed Making Official, along with the steps that is required. She also shared the challenges on being a notary and Land Deed Making Official. This discussion also continued by Wahyu Adi MP, S.H., M.Kn. that explained about the urgency of adapting with the possible challenges that will arise in this digital era. He said that a notary and Land Deed Making Official are obliged to own a deep legal knowledge in their practices. The participants are enthusiast in listening to the entire workshop, shown by the active participation from the participants during the question and answer session.
The implementation of this activity also serves as concrete evidence of LCDC's commitment as one of the units within the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada in manifesting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals In this regard, it pertains to point 4 on Qualified Education and the 8th Point of SDGs on Decent Work and Economic Growth.
