ALSA Legal Opinion Competition (ALOC) 2024 LC Unsri is an event with national seminar and legal research competition agenda that is organized by ALSA Local Chapter University Sriwijaya (ALSA LC Unsri). This objective of this competition is to become a platform for law students all over Indonesia and the local chapters under ALSA National Chapter Indonesia to develop their academic and writing skills, especially in drafting legal opinions. This year ALOC 2024 Unsri brought a grand theme "Legal Protection for Stakeholders in Companies Undergoing Bankruptcy".
ALSA Local Chapter Universitas Gadjah Mada (ALSA LC UGM) sent 1 team that consisted of 2 delegates, Reza Saputra (2022) and Narandra Adhika Rizaldi (2022). Through this competition, ALSA LC UGM gave the opportunity for the delegates to develop their analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and problem solving skills in a legal opinion.
This event was started with national seminar on Saturday (15/6/2024) through Zoom Cloud Meetings as a foundation for the participants. The event then proceed with legal opinion drafting period started from Sunday (16/6/2024) until Tuesday (9/7/2024). During this drafting period, ALSA LC UGM delegates did research by interviewing several speakers such as lecturers and legal practitioners. After conducted a research, the Delegates then proceeded to drafting the legal opinion and consulted with Chandra Airlangga (2021) as their coach. The final draft of the legal opinion then submitted to the committee, and the soft copy was sent through e-mail and the hard copy was sent to the contact person’s address.
ALCA LC UGM Delegates was competing against the other 24 delegates from various Indonesian Universities and successfully proceeded to the final round. After that, ALSA LC UGM Delegates attended the technical meeting on Wednesday (23/7/2024) as a media to prepare the rules for the final round. The final round was conducted before the Closing Ceremony ALOC 2024 LC Unsri on Saturday, 27 July 2024 through Zoom Cloud Meetings. On the same day, the winner of the competition was announced by the committee. On this competition, ALSA LC UGM Delegates successfully won the competition as the 1st winner.
