UGM Faculty of Law, NRGS, and PT Pertamina (Persero) Continue the 2026 Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program in Its Second Week of Learning

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the Natural Resources Governance Studies (NRGS) Center, in collaboration with PT Pertamina (Persero) through Pertamina Corporate University, continued the implementation of the 2026 Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program during its second week of learning activities. The program was held on Saturday and Sunday, 9–10 May 2026, at the Master of Laws Campus of UGM Jakarta.

The 2026 Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program is a legal training initiative designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of business law, corporate law, and governance, particularly for employees of PT Pertamina (Persero) and its subsidiaries. Carrying the overarching theme “Legal Clarity in Business and Energy Industry,” the program is specifically intended for participants from non-legal backgrounds in order to provide practical legal understanding that supports strategic decision-making within the energy industry.

During the second week, the program was conducted in two classes featuring a series of lectures focused on business law, capital market law, commercial contracts, corporate organization law, and public finance law. The learning process was designed progressively to ensure that participants gained not only conceptual understanding but also practical insights relevant to corporate governance and business operations.

On Saturday, 9 May 2026, participants attended sessions on Capital Market Law and Commercial Contracts. The Capital Market Law lecture was delivered by Royhan Akbar, S.H., LL.M., Lecturer in Business Law at the Faculty of Law UGM, covering legal foundations, definitions, historical development, issues in the Indonesian capital market, as well as the concepts and types of securities, stocks, and bonds. Meanwhile, the Commercial Contracts session was presented by Dr. Ninik Darmini, S.H., M.Hum., Lecturer in Civil Law at the Faculty of Law UGM, who discussed the foundations and basic concepts of contracts, including an introduction to the law of obligations.

On Sunday, 10 May 2026, the learning sessions continued with Corporate Organization Law and Public Finance Law. The Corporate Organization Law lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Sulistiowati, S.H., M.Hum., Professor at the Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law UGM, who explained the concepts, forms, and legal theories of corporate organizations. Meanwhile, the Public Finance Law session was presented by Prof. Dr. Mailinda Eka Yuniza, S.H., LL.M., Professor at the Department of Administrative Law, Faculty of Law UGM, who discussed the basic concepts of public finance law as well as principles of state financial management.

Throughout the sessions, participants demonstrated strong enthusiasm through active discussions and questions connecting the lecture materials with business practices, corporate governance, and strategic decision-making needs within corporate environments. These interactive discussions reflected the importance of adequate legal understanding for corporate professionals, particularly in addressing the increasingly complex dynamics of business law and the energy industry.

The implementation of the 2026 Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program reflects the shared commitment of the Faculty of Law UGM, NRGS, and PT Pertamina (Persero) to strengthen synergy between higher education institutions and industry. Through this program, participants are expected not only to gain theoretical legal knowledge but also to apply it effectively in professional practice, strategic decision-making, and the implementation of good corporate governance principles.

This activity is also closely aligned with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2026 Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program supports SDG 4: Quality Education by providing practical, professional, and industry-relevant legal education tailored to the needs of the energy sector. Furthermore, discussions on corporate governance, capital market law, commercial contracts, and public finance law contribute to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by promoting transparent, accountable, and legally grounded corporate governance practices. The collaboration between the Faculty of Law UGM, NRGS, and PT Pertamina (Persero) also reflects the implementation of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strengthened synergy between higher education institutions and the industrial sector in enhancing human resource capacity to adapt to the evolving dynamics of global law and business.
