The opening ceremony for the XIX Special Advocate Professional Education Program (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat/PKPA) 2026 was held in a hybrid format on Wednesday (6 May 2026) at Room 3.1.1, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM), and via Zoom Meeting. The event marked the commencement of the program, which is a collaborative initiative between the Faculty of Law UGM and the Indonesian Advocates Association – Rumah Bersama Advokat (PERADI RBA).
The event was attended by representatives from both FH UGM and PERADI RBA. From FH UGM, attendees included the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A.; the Head of the Center for Legal Consultation and Assistance (PKBH) FH UGM, Dr. Yulkarnain Harahab, S.H., M.Si.; the Chairperson of PKPA XIX, Virga Dwi Efendi, S.H., LL.M.; as well as committee members from PKBH. Meanwhile, PERADI RBA was represented by Ahmad Fikri Assegaf, S.H., LL.M., Chairperson of the National Executive Board of the Indonesian Advocates Association (DPN PERADI), who delivered welcoming remarks. Other attendees included M. Daud Berueh, S.H., Acting Secretary General of DPN PERADI; Emir Pohan, S.H., LL.M., Coordinator of the DPN PERADI Transition Team, who joined online; and in-person representatives such as Wijaya Kusuma, S.H., M.H., Chairperson of DPC PERADI Bantul; Teguh RM, S.H., M.H.; Dr. King Faisal S. Marsaoly, S.H., LL.M.; Zulfikri Sofyan, S.H.; and Ferry Nur Hastoro, S.H., M.H., representing the management of DPC PERADI RBA Bantul, alongside the PKPA XIX organizing committee from PKBH FH UGM and PERADI RBA.

The XIX PKPA program will run from Wednesday (6 May 2026) to Saturday (23 May 2026). The program features 25 experienced lecturers from academic circles, legal practitioners, and senior advocates, delivering a total of 28 lecture sessions. PKPA is designed as a platform for law graduates to deepen their legal knowledge, enhance practical legal skills, and strengthen integrity and professional ethics as preparation for the Advocate Professional Examination (Ujian Profesi Advokat/UPA). This year’s program is attended by 88 participants, consisting of 51 offline participants and 37 online participants.
In addition to serving as a professional education program, PKPA also represents a concrete contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth. Through this program, the Faculty of Law UGM and PERADI RBA are committed to providing high-quality legal education that is relevant to professional needs and aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of law graduates in the workforce. The course materials are comprehensively designed in accordance with professional competency standards for advocates. Through the implementation of the XIX PKPA program, participants are expected to strengthen both their academic and moral capacities, enabling them to contribute to the establishment of a just and integrity-driven legal system in Indonesia.
