Saturday, February 14, 2026, marked the closing of the Specialized Advocate Profession Education (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat/PKPA), 18th Cohort, 2026. The program was organized through a collaboration between the UGM Faculty of Law, through the Legal Consultation and Assistance Centre (PKBH), and the Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia/PERADI). The collaboration represents one of FH UGM's concrete expressions of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly its first pillar of Education and Teaching.
The closing ceremony was held in a hybrid format and attended by representatives from both FH UGM and PERADI. Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems at FH UGM, was present alongside Dr. Yulkarnain Harahab, S.H., M.Si., Chair of the PKBH FH UGM, and Annisa Syaufika Yustisia Ridwan, S.H., M.H., Chair of the PKPA XVIII Organizing Committee. From PERADI, the ceremony was attended by Dr. Ariyanto, S.H., C.N., M.H., Chair of the PERADI Yogyakarta Regional Executive Committee (Dewan Pimpinan Cabang/DPC), together with Deddy Sukmadi, S.H., M.Hum. as Deputy Chair; Rismanisa Andyaka Wirani, S.H. as Treasurer; and Dhian Ambarsari, S.H., Head of the Women's, Children's, and Disability Empowerment Division of PERADI DPC Yogyakarta.
The event opened with testimonials from two participant representatives, who shared positive impressions and reflections on their experience throughout the PKPA program. Dr. Ariyanto then noted in his remarks the high level of enthusiasm among law graduates for the PKPA — reflected in the fact that the registration period closed ahead of schedule once the participant quota was filled. Annisa Syaufika Yustisia Ridwan presented a final report confirming that all participants had been officially declared to have passed PKPA XVIII. Prof. Heribertus, in his closing remarks, expressed hope that graduates would carry the knowledge gained from PKPA as a foundation for becoming advocates of integrity.
With the conclusion of the PKPA XVIII program, FH UGM and PERADI are expected to continue their collaboration in delivering a high-quality PKPA experience through a systematically and comprehensively designed curriculum and teaching methodology. The program is also directly relevant to FH UGM's support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Participants are thereby expected to receive a legal education that strengthens their professional competitiveness and contributes to the reinforcement of the national economy.
