The Master of Laws Program of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MIH FH UGM), held a Workshop on the Semester Learning Program and Activities Plan (Rencana Program dan Kegiatan Pembelajaran Semester/RPKPS) on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Hotel Santika Yogyakarta. The workshop was attended by lecturers responsible for courses offered by the MIH and International Master of Laws (LL.M.) Programs in both the odd and even semesters.
The workshop was organized as part of the MIH FH UGM’s efforts to enhance the quality and relevance of its educational programs. The Semester Learning Program and Activities Plan Workshop was intended to facilitate the development of effective RPKPS that reflect contemporary developments and the evolving dynamics of the legal field. As an important instrument for ensuring that the learning process is structured and measurable, the RPKPS also supports the development of competent graduates capable of responding to global developments in the field of law.
The workshop aimed to review the RPKPS for the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as update and develop the RPKPS to serve as a learning guideline for the subsequent period. The expected outcome of the workshop was the completion of the RPKPS for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
The workshop began with a presentation on changes in regulations and the latest curriculum developments. The following session discussed the RPKPS format based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach, delivered by UGM’s Center for Academic Innovation and Studies (PIKA). The presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session, providing lecturers with an opportunity to discuss various matters related to the preparation and updating of the RPKPS.
Following the presentation and discussion sessions, the workshop continued with the completion of the RPKPS under the guidance of the Quality Assurance and Academic Innovation Unit (Jamia) of FH UGM. During this session, course lecturers prepared and updated their respective RPKPS in accordance with the formats and requirements presented earlier.
Through this workshop, the Master of Laws Program of FH UGM reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality of its learning processes and ensuring the relevance of legal education to contemporary developments. The regular preparation and updating of RPKPS are expected to support the delivery of adaptive learning while enhancing the quality of MIH and LL.M. graduates in responding to legal developments at both the national and global levels.
