UGM Faculty Of Law And Pertamina Conclude The 2025 Pertamina Mini Master Of Law Program With An In-Depth Look At Strategic Issues In Capital Market Law And Business Disputes

The Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University, through the NRGS Center for Natural Resource Governance Studies, together with PT Pertamina Persero, through Pertamina Corporate University, officially concluded the 2025 Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program with the 13th week of classes, which took place on Saturday and Sunday, November 1–2, 2025, at MIH UGM Jakarta Campus.

As the closing chapter, the 13th week of learning focused on exploring corporate legal issues with strategic impacts on business sustainability, including Capital Market Law, Transnational Business Law, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, as well as Bankruptcy Law and Debt Payment Deferral. This theme was chosen to ensure that participants have a comprehensive understanding of the national and international legal landscape, enabling them to formulate appropriate risk management strategies in business decision-making.

The learning process is facilitated by a team of experts with academic reputations and extensive experience in business law practice, namely Dr. Riyatno, S.H., LL.M., Prof. Dr. Yetty Komalasari Dewi, S.H., M.L.I., Eri Hertiawan, S.H., LL.M., MCIArb., and Harvardy M. Iqbal, S.H., M.A., C.L.A.. Academic discussions and case analyses took place intensively on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As part of the final program evaluation, participants took Post-Test 6 on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This evaluation aimed to measure the improvement in participants' understanding and ability to apply legal principles in the operational and strategic context of the company, while ensuring the overall achievement of the program's learning outcomes.

The implementation of week 13 also reinforces the role of the 2025 Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program as a forum for improving legal capacity based on continuous professional learning that supports SDG 4 Quality Education through strengthening human resource competencies, SDG 16 Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions through understanding transparent and accountable corporate legal regulations and governance, and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals through strategic collaboration between the academic world and the national energy industry. Through this synergy, the Faculty of Law at UGM and PT Pertamina Persero continue to contribute to strengthening Indonesia's corporate legal ecosystem to be adaptive, professional, and integrity-driven in facing global economic dynamics.

Going forward, the Faculty of Law at UGM and PT Pertamina Persero express their ongoing commitment to expanding the scope of collaboration in corporate legal capacity building. The Pertamina Mini Master of Law Program is expected to become a foundation that strengthens the continuity of professional learning through improving the quality of modules, expanding topics in line with the dynamics of global business law, and integrating a more adaptive learning platform. This synergy is aimed at continuing to produce leaders and decision-makers who understand the law strategically, are able to anticipate risks, and play an active role in building sustainable corporate governance.

The Faculty of Law at UGM and PT Pertamina Persero also expressed their highest appreciation to all participants who took part in the program series with dedication, perseverance, and a high spirit of learning throughout the thirteen weeks of the program. The participants' contributions through active discussions, case studies, and reflections on legal practices in the corporate environment were an important part of the program's success. It is hoped that the legal competencies and insights gained will have a tangible impact on the implementation of good corporate governance principles within PT Pertamina Persero and foster a culture of compliance and responsible business decision-making.
