The Faculty of Law at UGM and Badranaya Partnership Extend Their Collaboration to Strengthen the Three Pillars of Higher Education

On Thursday (June 12, 2025), the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM) renewed its partnership with Badranaya Partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held in the dean’s conference room at FH UGM. This extension of the partnership reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to continue working together in support of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, encompassing education, research, and community service.

In her remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at UGM, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D., stated that the extension of this MoU represents a continuation of the partnership established in 2023. Through this extension of our partnership, we hope that our collaboration with Badranaya Partnership can expand further. Not only will it support students in internships and teaching activities, but it will also encourage joint research and community service programs that provide direct benefits to the community,” she said.

On behalf of Badranaya Partnership, Bhirawa Jayasidayatra, S.H., LL.M., reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to continuing its support for the UGM Faculty of Law. “For us, this partnership is not merely a formality, but a way for us to give back to our alma mater. We want to continue contributing to improving the quality of students and strengthening the academic achievements of the UGM Faculty of Law,” he said.

This collaboration is also aligned with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education through the strengthening of legal education, Goal 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions through legal research and outreach, and Goal 17 on partnerships for the goals. Thus, this collaboration not only benefits the academic community but also contributes to sustainable development at the national and global levels.

The signing ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Law at UGM, including Prof. Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv.LL.M., LL.D. (Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation). Meanwhile, Badranaya Partnership was represented by its partners, including Mangatta Toding Allo, S.H., and Sony Hutaean, S.H.

With the extension of this partnership, both institutions are committed to strengthening their collaboration in implementing various strategic programs, both at the local and national levels. This collaboration is expected to foster innovation in the legal field while producing graduates who are better prepared to face the challenges of the legal profession in the future.
