He also underscored the need for cross-sector collaboration to ensure trade policies do not compromise public health, while supporting economic growth and national digital transformation.
The involvement of academics like Taufiq reflects a commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This discussion is relevant to SDG 4 on quality education, as it encourages increased stakeholder capacity in understanding global issues. The relevance to SDG 3 is also evident in efforts to protect public health in trade policies. Furthermore, discussions on strengthening the telecommunications sector and protecting local industries support SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth, as well as SDG 9, which emphasizes industrial development, innovation, and infrastructure.
