UGM Faculty of Law Commemorates Nuzulul Qur'an with Lecturers and Administrative Staff

In observance of Nuzulul Qur'an, the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FH UGM) held a commemorative event in Room 3.1.1 on Friday, March 21, 2025. The event was held during the final ten nights of Ramadhan 1446 H and was attended by lecturers and administrative staff of the UGM Faculty of Law.

The event began at 1:30 p.m. and concluded at 3:00 p.m. It opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Sigid Riyanto, S.H., M.Si., a lecturer at the UGM Faculty of Law, who expressed his appreciation for everyone's presence and invited attendees to deepen their understanding of the meaning of Nuzulul Qur'an in this blessed month.

The religious lecture (pengajian) was delivered by Prof. Dr. Jamhari, S.P., M.P., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at UGM. In his address, Prof. Jamhari invited participants to reflect more deeply on the values contained within the Qur'an and on how its teachings can be applied in everyday life.

The event was held in a respectful and reflective atmosphere, serving as a meaningful occasion to strengthen ties of fellowship among members of the FH UGM academic community, and as a space for deepening religious understanding in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan.

The event also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). Through the study of Qur'anic teachings and values, the event promotes inclusive religious literacy and strengthens social harmony within the academic community. The reinforcement of moral and ethical values explored during the event contributes to building a society of greater integrity — in keeping with the principles of justice and peace that lie at the heart of the SDGs.
