At the 2024 PLC National Law Debate Competition, the Speciality FH UGM sent a team consisting of Bintang Ratu Excelluna R.P. (FH 2022), Fadilla Arafah Rahardjo (FH 2022), and I Gusti Ayu Diah Witari (FH 2023). Technical meeting for the preliminary round was held online via Zoom Cloud Meetings on November 23, 2024. Based on the results of the technical meeting, the Speciality FH UGM team was scheduled to compete in Chamber 4 during sessions 1, 2, and 3, taking on both the pro and con roles. The preliminary round was held online on November 30, 2024, via Zoom Cloud Meetings. In that round, the FH UGM Speciality representative team achieved the highest victory points points across all sessions, thereby advancing to the semifinals.
Technical meeting The semifinal round was held on the same day, November 30, 2024, online via Zoom Cloud Meetings. Based on the results of the technical meeting, the FH UGM Speciality team was scheduled to compete in Chamber A during Session 1 as the pro team. The semifinal round was then held in person at Parahyangan Catholic University on December 7, 2024. The Speciality FH UGM team once again secured the highest victory points, ensuring their advancement to the final round. The final round was held on December 8, 2024, in-person at Parahyangan Catholic University. In this round, the Speciality FH UGM representative team delivered a brilliant performance, securing 2nd place and the Best Oralist II award for I Gusti Ayu Diah Witari in the 2024 PLC National Law Debate Competition.
