Master of Notary Study Program in collaboration with Civil Law Department Faculty of Law UGM held a National Seminar on Tuesday (7/5/2024) with the theme “Development of Contract Law in Notarial Field”. This event was held offline in Auditorium in Gedung B Faculty of Law UGM and broadcasted virtually through Zoom Meeting. Participants that attended this event consist of student from Master of Notary Study Program batch 2023, undergraduate students who are taking Civil Law Concentration, and students from other universities that submitted their manuscript for Call For Paper The participants that attended this event through virtual meetings or physically attended the Auditorium has reached the amount of 200 people.
This National Seminar presented 3 speakers, those were Dr. Rahmat Dwi Putranto, S.H., M.H., Dr. Taufiq El Rahman, S.H., M.Hum., and Aulia Taufani, S.H. The seminar was moderated by Dr. R.A. Antari Inaka Turingsih, S.H., M.Hum. This event was aimed to improve the participates knowledge in contract law development knowledge in the notarial practices as the development of the public’s dynamic and technology, including the opportunities and the challenges faced in this digital era.
This seminar was started by singing the National Anthem Indonesia Raya and proceeded by the opening remarks by Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A. as the Vice Dean in Research, Community Service, and Information Systems. Then continued with an introduction by Dr. R.A. Antari Inaka Turingsih, S.H., M.Hum. who is the Head of the Civil Law Department. Then entering the core of the activity, the speakers were given time to deliver material with their respective sub-themes. The first speaker, Dr. Rahmat Dwi Putranto, S.H., M.H., discussed the development of contract law and information technology. Then the second speaker, Dr. Taufiq El Rahman, S.H., M.Hum., discussed the development of contract law in practice and theory. While the third speaker, Aulia Taufani, S.H., discussed cyber notary and its relationship to the development of contract law. The presentation of material by the three speakers was warmly welcomed with various questions asked by participants online and offline during the question and answer session.
This seminar was a form of commitment by the The Management of the Notary Masters Study Program, Faculty of Law, UGM and the Civil Law Department, Faculty of Law, UGM in improving the quality of education which is the fourth point in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving the quality and capacity of participants in understanding the development of contract law on notary practices.
