National Seminar Collaboration between Master of Notary and Department of Agrarian Law Regarding Land Registration Issue

Master of Notary Program held a national seminar entitled: “Complete Systematic Land Registration: between Reaching for Target or Intention in Land Registration”. This seminar is a collaboration with the Department of Agrarian Law that was conducted on Saturday (24/8/2024). This event was held in-person and took place in the Auditorium in Building B Faculty of Law UGM and broadcasted online through Zoom Meeting.

The target for this events’ participant are the undergraduate students in Faculty of Law UGM that took Agrarian Law for their concentration and the Master of Notary Program that took Course on the Administration and Registration of Land Rights and the Practice of Land Law. Asides from that, this event also invited the students from National Land College (STPN) and Master of Notarial Law students from public universities across Indonesia. The total participants of this event reached 393 participants that attended in-person, and 84 participants that attended virtually.

This event had 2 main objectives the first is to provide a knowledge for the participants regarding the development and the issues on systematic land registration, and the second is to provide a room for the participants to convey their responds, ideas, and recommendations for the improvement of complete systematic land registration.

This seminar presented 2 speakers, those are Dr. Oloan Sitorus, S.H., M.S., the lecturer from STPN Yogyakarta, and Prof. Dr. Nurhasan Ismail, S.H., M.Si., professor from Department of Agrarian Law Faculty of Law UGM. This event was moderated by Rafael Edy Bosko, S.H., M.IL., lecturer from Department of Agrarian Law Faculty of Law UGM. In this seminar, Dr. Oloan explained regarding the land granting and registration in the coastal area, along with the obstacles. Meanwhile, Prof. Nurhasan explained regarding the dilemma of complete systematic land registration. 

The enthusiasm from the participants in this event was reflected in the questions during the question and answer session. Both speakers also answered the question comprehensively.

This event is a form of commitment from the Master of Notary Program Faculty of Law UGM, the lecturers from Department of Agrarian Law Faculty of Law UGM, and the students in improving the education, as what the 4th point of SDGs have been stated, in improving the participants knowledge regarding the complete systematic land registration.
