The Signing of Cooperation Agreement between Faculty of Law UGM and Gadjah Mada Notary Alumni Community (KANOGAMA) and National Seminar Entitled “Security Law & The Issue in the Practice”

In order to strengthen the Three Pillars of Higher Education that involve the role of alumni, the National Seminar with the big title “Security Law & The Issue in the Practice” was conducted on Thursday (5/9/24). This seminar was one of the concrete step in the signing of the Cooperation Agreement that was conducted before this seminar started. This seminar itself took place in Auditorium of Faculty of Law, and one of the collaboration between Master of Notary and the Notary Alumni Community (KANOGAMA).

This national seminar was conducted hybrid through Zoom Meeting. with 198 participants from KANOGAMA and the students from Master of Notary Program all over Indonesia. This event was aimed to be a supporting activity in the Security Law course. 

This seminar presented 2 speakers, which were Dr. Taufiq El Rahman, S.H., M.Hum. as the Lecturer from Department of Civil Law Faculty of Law UGM and Taufik, S.H., M.Kn., as the Vice Head I of PP KANOGAMA with Burhan Albar, S.H., M.Kn., a Public Notary and Land Deed Official. In this seminar, Dr. Taufiq El Rahman explained some materials regarding the Development of Security Rights in Indonesia, and on the other hand, Taufik raised the topic of Debt Recognition and the Granting of Guarantee in the Practice. The high enthusiast from the participants in responding the materials by the speakers were reflected from the amount of questions that were asked during the question and answer session, both offline and online. Each questions were answered with comprehensive answers for both questions from offline participants or the questions from the Zoom Meeting.

This National Seminar was a form of commitment from Administrators and students of the Master of Notary Study Program, Faculty of Law UGM in improving the quality of education. This is aligned with the 4th goal of SDGs (Qualified Education) with improving the legal knowledge regarding the security law, the practice of debt recognition, and collateral granting for the law students broadly. Aside from that, this event was also the realization of the 17th point of SDG on the Partnership for the Goals.
