International Undergraduate Program

The International Undergraduate Program (IUP) is the Faculty’s commitment in producing competent legal professionals who are well equipped to engage in a globalized, liberalized, and interconnected world. The IUP curriculum has been specifically tailored to not only a comprehensive understanding of the legal theories, but also an array of skill-related expertise necessary for both legal practitioners and scholars. Apart from classes led by highly qualified resident lecturers, you will also enjoy frequent visits from professors and dignitaries from within and outside Indonesia, who will share their comparative legal perspectives to help you gain a full circle in your understanding of law. Additionally, you will join a family of well-accomplished students who have made their names in competitions and conferences around the world.

Vision

S1 IUP FH UGM aims at becoming an undergraduate program with an international orientation, the spirit of competitiveness, and is inspired by the five-point ideology of the Indonesian nation, the Pancasila.

Mission

  1. Conducting a higher education of law at the undergraduate level with an international standard;
  2. Producing experts of law with strong moral code, global insight, and the capability to compete at the international level for the benefit of the nation;
  3. Imparting knowledge, skills, and the culture of critical and analytical thinking necessary for the students to understand and apply legal norms and regulations; and
  4. Working together with stakeholders inside and outside Indonesia to deliver legal education as well as contribute to the development and enforcement of the law.

Degree

The program requires 146 credits of courses, including fieldwork or internship and thesis. The standard duration for the program is 4 years comprise 8 semesters. Graduating from IUP Faculty of Law Universitas Gadjah Mada, a student will be granted of S.H. (Sarjana Hukum) equivalent with LL.B (Legum Baccalaureus).

  2. As an addition at point 1, students may check the approval at:  ugm.id/internationalexposureapproval
  3. For a student who has academic problems such as Grade, Courses, Credits etc please fill this form
  4. For a student who wants to request certification letters such as Certificate of Enrollment and No Class Rank Statement Letter please fill this form

Having completed the online form, a student shall make confirmation to the secretariat a day after.

Announcement

Information about Interview, Writing & Group Discussion

  • Candidates who passed the tests on GMST & AcEPT will be eligible for the tests on Interview, Writing & Group Discussion. The announcement will be published on this page.
  • All tests namely Interview, Writing Test and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) will be conducted in Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

For candidates who have already taken the Interview, Writing Test, and Group Discussion, the result will be available today, Tuesday, 29 July 2025, at 15.00 WIB.
The announcement can be accessed through each candidate’s respective UM account.

FAQ

For semester 1 the classes begin on August to January. While for semester 2 the classes begin on February to July.

Tuition fee for local students is IDR 30,000,000 and IDR 40,000,000 for Non Indonesian students. Non refundable application fee of IDR 1,500,000.

Candidates must graduated from reputable Senior High School both in Indonesia or Abroad. Good academic record is become a consideration as well, it is shown from the High School certificate and the academic report. Candidates shall pass the acquisition test conducted by the Faculty.

Each year the Law School receives approximately 70 students.
