Golden Reunion of the Faculty of Law Class of '72

Alumni from the Faculty of Law's Class of 1972 recently held their golden reunion on Thursday, September 22. The event took place in Room III.1.1 at FH UGM and was attended by 34 alumni from that class.

The event opened with remarks from the Chair of FH UGM's Class of '72 Alumni, Sri Herawati, followed by remarks from the Dean of FH UGM, Dahliana Hasan, S.H., M.Tax., Ph.D.

In her remarks, Dahliana Hasan spoke at length about the Faculty of Law's development in recent years, particularly regarding its teaching activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. She noted that the Faculty successfully adapted by shifting to online learning over the past two years, and that in-person classes have now resumed.

Dahliana Hasan also expressed her gratitude that the alumni were given health so that they could celebrate the golden reunion at their beloved campus. "I also want to express my deepest thanks to all of you. After decades, you were willing to visit the Faculty of Law for the golden reunion.”

Following remarks from both sides, the reunion continued with the donation of a book collection belonging to Prof. Iman Sudiyat, presented on behalf of the family by his daughter, Indra Rukmi. Dahliana Hasan expressed deep gratitude for the book donation, expressing hope that these books — which will become part of the Law Library's collection — will benefit the entire academic community at FH UGM.

After the program concluded, the alumni took a group photo with the Dean of the Faculty of Law in front of Building B, which now serves as the Faculty's main teaching hub.
