The Master of Law (MIH) Program at the Jakarta Campus of the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (FH UGM), hosted a benchmarking visit from the program at the PSDKU, Faculty of Law, Airlangga University, on Tuesday (December 16, 2025). The event took place in Room B.5.5 of the UGM Faculty of Law as part of efforts to improve the quality of legal higher education.
The delegation from the PSDKU Faculty of Law, Airlangga University, was welcomed by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation at the UGM Faculty of Law, Prof. Adrianto Dwi Nugroho, S.H., Adv., LL.M., LL.D., as well as the Associate Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A. Also in attendance were the Chair of the Master’s Program in Legal Studies at the Jakarta Campus, Dr. Ninik Darmini, S.H., M.Hum., and the Program Secretary, Dr. Agustina Merdekawati, S.H., LL.M.
This benchmarking activity focused on the exchange of experiences and best practices in the management of the Master’s Program in Law, particularly regarding governance, curriculum development, academic quality assurance systems, and strategies for improving the quality of learning and services for students. The leadership of the UGM Faculty of Law emphasized the importance of collaboration among universities in addressing the increasingly complex challenges of legal education. Through this benchmarking, it is hoped that institutional synergy will be built to drive sustainable improvements in academic quality.
This activity aligns with the commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on quality education through strengthening the quality of legal higher education, as well as SDG 17 on partnerships to achieve the goals through strategic cooperation among educational institutions.
Through this benchmarking activity, the Master’s Program in Law at the UGM Faculty of Law’s Jakarta Campus is expected to continue contributing to the development of excellent, inclusive, and competitive legal education, while also strengthening the role of higher education institutions in supporting sustainable development.
