On Monday, (10/3/2025), at 10:00 AM WIB, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the Legal Consultation and Aid Center (PKBH), attended a meeting at the Civil and State Administration Division (Datun) Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, High Prosecutor’s Office of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (Kejati DIY). This meeting was held to discuss the assistance in the formation of village regulations.
This initiative aligns with SDG Goal 16, which aims to build inclusive government institutions at the village level, and SDG Goal 17, which focuses on strengthening partnerships to achieve concrete and improved outcomes.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Faculty of Law UGM, including Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M., M.A., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Information Systems; Dr. Airin Liemanto, S.H., LL.M., Secretary II of PKBH Faculty of Law UGM; and Adetia Surya Maulana, Ruth Jessieca Margareth, and Sahl Radian Setyaki as representatives of PKBH. Also present were representatives from Kejati DIY, including Fanny Widyastuti, S.H., M.H., Assistant for Civil and State Administration Affairs (Datun) of Kejati DIY; Dr. Putri Ayu Wulandari, S.H., M.H., Coordinator of the Datun Division at Kejati DIY; and the State Attorney Team. Wahyu Nugroho, S.E., M.B.A., Head of Sambirejo Village, and his team also participated in the discussion.
This meeting marked the first step in 2025 for PKBH Faculty of Law UGM in implementing one of its community service collaborations with Kejati DIY through a new program: village regulation formation assistance.
On this occasion, PKBH Faculty of Law UGM and Kejati DIY met with the Head of Sambirejo Village to discuss the Sambirejo Village Regulation on Community Organizations. PKBH provided valuable input on the draft regulation, which will be further refined. The discussion also highlighted the importance of legislative drafting in formulating regulations, including village regulations. An interactive discussion occurred between PKBH Faculty of Law UGM, Kejati DIY, and Sambirejo Village representatives, leading to meaningful insights for the regulation’s development.
The meeting proceeded smoothly and successfully. The collaboration between the Faculty of Law UGM, Kejati DIY, and Sambirejo Village will be further strengthened throughout the village regulation formation assistance process. Moving forward, PKBH Faculty of Law UGM plans to launch a new grant program for faculty members specifically dedicated to assisting in the formation of other village regulations in collaboration with Kejati DIY. This initiative aligns with the Faculty of Law UGM’s commitment to fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by delivering excellent, impactful, and meaningful community service, ensuring direct benefits and positive outcomes for society.
