On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the Faculty of Law at Gadjah Mada University, through its Legal Aid Consultation Center (PKBH), in collaboration with the Yogyakarta Provincial Attorney General's Office, successfully conducted a “Suluh Praja” legal education program at the Wareng Village Office, Wonosari District, Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. This legal counseling aimed to provide insight and legal knowledge to village officials on legal issues related to online loans and village treasury land. This activity also aimed to instill and increase awareness among village officials of the importance of preventive measures against online loans to protect personal data and optimize village treasury land in accordance with applicable regulations.
The event began at 09:45 a.m. with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, together. The event continued with an opening speech from the Head of Wareng Village, Mr. Ari Wibowo. Next, the initial material was presented by the Datun team from the Yogyakarta High Court, represented by Nugiantara, S.H. and Rr. Yulisminiwati, S.H., who delivered material related to the main duties and functions of the civil and state administration division of the Yogyakarta High Court. The presentation was then continued by a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Law, UGM, namely Dr. Sartika Intaning Pradhani, S.H., M.H., who delivered material related to village treasury land, and Dr. Raden Ajeng Antari Innaka T, S.H., M.Hum., who delivered material related to online loans.
The presentation on “Village Treasury Land” emphasized the aspects of the latest relevant Governor's regulations as guidelines for management. Furthermore, the material on “Online Loans” emphasized the dangers of illegal online loans and how to distinguish between legal and illegal online loans. After the material session, a discussion session was held, sparked by a question from one of the participants regarding how to consult with the DIY Attorney General's Office, which was answered by the relevant team that consultations could be done by the community coming directly. All speakers, both from the Kejati DIY team and the UGM Faculty of Law lecturers, actively participated in the question and answer session with the village officials. Other questions focused on issues occurring in the community regarding online loans and village treasury land in Wareng Village.
The material was presented interactively to encourage discussion on related issues. The lecturers also answered questions from participants clearly and with solutions. The implementation of legal education was in accordance with SDG point 9 regarding strengthening information systems that support industry, innovation, and infrastructure; SDG point 11 in an effort to create sustainable settlements; SDG point 16 by strengthening peace, justice, and resilient institutions starting from the village administration; and SDG point 17 through strengthening partnerships to achieve more inclusive and sustainable development goals.
