Penyuluhan Hukum Dosen FH UGM di Kecamatan Ngaglik

On Monday, 1 October 2018, the Legal Consultation and Assistance Center of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (PKBH FH UGM), began a series of legal outreach programs conducted by FH UGM lecturers. The program ran from 1 to 12 October 2018 in Ngaglik District, Sleman. Each session was attended by four to six FH UGM lecturers serving as speakers. The topics varied across sessions, including Criminal Law, Inheritance Law, Agrarian Law, Environmental Law, the protection of women and children, the role of community protection in elections, maintaining public order, and other legal issues.

The first session was held in the Ngaglik District Hall and featured four speakers: Joko Setiono, S.H., M.Hum.; Ninik Darmini, S.H., M.Hum.; Dr. Yulkarnain Harahab, S.H., M.Si.; and Sartika Intaning Pradhani, S.H., M.H., accompanied by PKBH staff member Fitri Isni Ridha. The speakers addressed topics including the protection of women and children, Inheritance Law, Marriage Law, and other legal matters. Approximately 50 participants attended the session, consisting of members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) organization in Ngaglik District.

Joko Setiono, the first speaker, explained the existence of social norms and their role in society. These norms include religious norms, norms of courtesy, moral norms, and legal norms. He emphasized that legal norms are coercive in nature and play an important role in maintaining peace and order within society. He also presented several examples of legal cases involving marriage law and domestic violence. Following Mr. Joko Setiono's presentation, participants raised several questions, which were then addressed by the other speakers in turn. After the question-and-answer session, the program was closed by the Secretary of Ngaglik District and Mr. Joko. At the end of the session, Mr. Joko also introduced the PKBH FH UGM, which provides free access to legal assistance and information for members of the public seeking guidance on legal issues they may face.
