Wonokromo, June 21, 2023 -- On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with Kejati DIY, held a legal outreach session titled "Datun Suluh Praja" at Wonokromo Village, Bantul. The session aimed to provide village officials and local residents with a deeper understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
In organizing this session, the UGM Faculty of Law and Kejati DIY brought in resource persons with relevant expertise in civil law and customary law. Prof. Dr. Ari Hernawan, S.H., M.Hum., Dr. Murti Pramuwardani Dewi, S.H., M.Hum., and Dr. R.A. Antari Innaka Turingsih, S.H., M.H. provided insight into civil law, while Dr. Rimawati, S.H., M.Hum. addressed customary law.
This session was attended by village officials of Wonokromo, as well as local residents interested in gaining knowledge about land law. Participants were given an in-depth understanding of the legal basis governing land, regulations relating to land registration, the rights and obligations of landowners, and the resolution of land disputes.
In a highly interactive atmosphere, the resource persons and participants engaged in discussion that allowed for the exchange of ideas and the resolution of legal problems relating to land in Wonokromo Village. Questions from participants were answered clearly and constructively by the resource persons, providing a stronger understanding for all those present.
With the conclusion of the Datun Suluh Praja Legal Outreach session in Wonokromo, it is hoped that public legal knowledge on land matters and legal outreach more broadly will increase significantly. The session is hoped to have a positive impact in reducing land-related disputes and strengthening fairness for all residents of Wonokromo Village.
